Hello!

We are glad to present Sharky - excellent way to keep your Documents and other files right where you want them.

Why Sharky? Well you must agree that file systems in all modern Operating Systems these days are advanced enough so they allow you to store anything anywhere the way you like, and find and manipulate at will. Or... maybe not?

We must ALL agree that for anything more than "Open" and "Save" operations - available with numerous "Office" and other specialised software - user gets not much more; that means storing content in some default location and later eventually accessing and modifying it. Being a little "advanced", users will know how to copy and move files from "folder" to "folder" - folder being file location named differently by different systems - avoiding "default" locations where anyone could search for them, and even compress or encrypt those using some ZIP or Cypher tool. Still, it takes time, knowledge and effort for users who just want to use their documents, access them from one place and take care of what happens with their content, having things organised in their own way - not suggested by the idea of OS designers.

Sure there are huge and glorious "Document Management Systems" and (today) even "Clouds" which can do that job for you, but - thinking small and effective - it would always be nice to have a compact, easy-to-use and system-independent way to keep your stuff right under your hand.

AND that is where Sharky jumps in perfectly. Sharky does not really care about how your OS and "office" and other "tools" handle files, but will do its best to keep track of files' changes and whereabouts.

With Sharky you can:

And all that on several operating systems.
